Public Power Week


Ephraim City Power Department is celebrating Public Power Week along with more than 2,000 other community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 49 million Americans.

“We are proud to be community powered,” said Cory Daniels, Ephraim City Power Director. “Public power puts the people of Ephraim first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of locally grown, locally owned power to our citizens.”

The Ephraim City Power Department invites community members to participate in a variety of Public Power Week events.

Activities include:

• Wed. Oct. 23—Hotline trailer demo for Mrs. Flinton’s 8th grade science classes at Ephraim Middle School.

• Wed. Oct. 23—Hotline trailer demo for the public at the fire station. 5:30 p.m.

• Thurs. Oct. 24—Hotline trailer demo 5:00 p.m.

• EVENT—5:00-7:30 P.M.

 Bucket truck rides

 Climbing demos

 Games, demos and activities
